Papantonopoulos Panos Principal, Business Opportunities and Technology Innovation Assessment.
Aged 59, a Business Economist (MBA-Canada), Planner (MA-Canada), Architect-Engineer (Greece), holds Hellenic and Canadian nationality. Founder and principal partner of Intermas Ltd he has been active in the consulting field on Technology Opportunities assessment, Industrial Market Analysis, Industrial & Real Estate Investment, Project/Construction Management, Tourism and Sustainable Development. Has been a regular professor in Quebec University at Montreal (UQAM), School of Administrative Sciences for the period 1978-82. Back in Greece during the early 80ies, he has worked for 10 years at administrative positions, prior to enter the consulting field. Founder of Intermas, for the last 18 years he has assumed both the in-house activities of Business Development (Client relations, Proposals, Contact management), Senior Consulting (Planning, Coordinating and Reviewing of all consultancy studies) plus extensive International Field Work, executing several international expertise and consulting assignments mainly in the Balkans and the Caucasus area within the framework of EU and WB missions. With a life-record of extensive business travelling around the world, he has a broad understanding of cross-cultural differences and their influence in business. On Industrial and Technology consultancy, he has five years of industrial restructuring consulting experience with World Bank inside the Georgian industrial enterprises (1997-2003) and six years inside several of Soviet Research Institutes in Georgia and Armenia, He has been instrumental in the creation of ‘spin-off’ companies, the foundation of Joint Ventures and the launching of Technical Assistance projects with the participation of western companies. Currently he is a member of the International Business Advisory Board of The Eliava Institute of Virology and Bacteriophage in Georgia (ex-Soviet Union republic), established by the US State Department Bio-Industry Initiative. On the Industrial and Engineering Management, he has a Managerial experience of 12 years in both Canada and Greece and from the positions of Business Development, Industrial Marketing and International Sales Management for companies working in fields of engineering, construction, defense, metal transformation, fine mechanics, opto-electronics and lasers. His cross-industry background enables him to identify gaps for a wide range of market needs and to uncover opportunities for the development of new products/services and to build relations among industries, promote industrial linkages, strategic alliances and joint ventures. An Architect –Planner in his basic formation, he always keeps a strong interest in cultural projects and built-environment issues as well as in soft types of regional development (cultural tourism, eco-tourism). Velissaropoulos Pantelis Senior Associate, Business Economics, Energy Systems expert. Aged 65, a Harvard Business School Graduate (MBA) he holds both B.Sc and M.Sc. degrees from MIT in Mechanical Engineering (1963). Works with Intermas since 1998 and he has been instrumental in all World Bank restructuring expeditions in Georgia and later in Armenia, being an integral part of the technology team and executing both field work abroad and office tasks in Athens in close cooperation with Mr. Papantonopoulos. Previously (1994-1998) he has worked in Baku on the petroleum sector, he has been Chairman of Hellenic Aerospace Industry-Tanagra (1991-94) responsible to the Minister of Finance for the performance of a nine man Lockheed Corp. management team engaged to re-structure and improve the performance of this state company. Productivity and financials improved and the basis was set for its privatization He has also worked in ICAP-Hellas (1990-91), in Chronar Corp., USA (1985-90) as marketing Director, Medivers Inc.-Piraeus (1981-84) and in Eleusis Shipyards as Deputy Marketing Director (1976-80) plus a number of Shipping companies in USA and London (Transoceanic and Goulandris) He also is managing member of ‘senior experts’ registered NGO and member of the European Veteran Volunteer management Experts Association-Greek Section. He is fluent in English, French and German and has travelled and travels extensively. Papadogiannis George Senior Partner, Technical Expert, Aerospace Production and Logistics Aged 60, he is an Aeronautical Engineer, graduated from the Hellenic Air Force Academy, he also holds an Electro-Mechanical Engineer professional Diploma from the National Polytechnic of Athens and an Economist degree from the University of Athens. He is executive Manager of Intermas for the last 10 years. Prior of joining Intermas, he has serviced for four years as Director in the Engineering Dept at the ECON opto–electronics industry. His main background was that of Technical Officer of the Hellenic Air Forces technical corps. For the period 1989-1992 he has respectively served at the Greek Defence Industry Directorate responsible for Quality Assurance and Supervision of the Greek Defence Industry, while for the period 1982-1985 he has been appointed in the NATO base of “AWACS” Aircrafts as Director of Training and Manager of Manufacturer’s Representatives. As a Technical Officer he has also spent many years at various Air Force technical assignments including five years at the Aircraft Factory as Design & Development Director. He is running the offsets and industrial representations activities of Intermas. He masters English, French and German languages. Troulis E. Yiannis Senior Associate, Cost accounting and analysis, Entrepreneurship, Technology Transfer & IP Aged 50, he holds a Bachelor of Commerce with Major in Finance and Minor in International Business from Concordia University, Montreal Canada and has followed courses on Organizational Management within the graduate program of the McGill University, Canada and Leicester University, UK.
He has sixteen years of entrepreneurial experience in Canada as founder, owner and general manager of two companies; one involved in international trade of foodstuff and its spin-off involved in the packaging and distribution. During these years he has travelled extensively around the world and has acquired a solid experience in all aspects of international trade including negotiations, transportation logistics, financing and law. Back in Greece at 2000, he has joined Intermas and has assumed since then the office ‘in-house’ organization and supervision. He is active in techno-consulting for SMEs and Greek Research Institutes and he has been appointed as Greece’s representative member in the European Commission’s Enterprise Policy Group (EPG), policy consultation on Entrepreneurship and Innovation for SMEs. He is executing international short-term assignments in the fields of his competence; he is responsible for business development in technology transfer, SMEs, entrepreneurship and NGO related projects while he oversees the project management activities of the company and the Greek clients linked to marine R&D and aquaculture. He follows regularly various seminars and meetings held on Technology Transfer and IP and he is also responsible for the development of links with youth entrepreneurship networks, promotion of entrepreneurship and new business development projects. He is also involved in policy development projects regarding SMEs and regional economic development models. Responsible for the company’s Web site, novel e-consulting platform and ‘corporate memory’ organization, he manages the company’s own innovation in operations and maintenance. He has a life-interest and involvement in the management of community affairs and Civil Society organizations, for over twenty years and he is involved in organizing and performing training and coaching activities. He is the General Secretary of the Canadian-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce, in Athens. He holds a Canadian and a Hellenic nationality, masters English and has basic knowledge of French Zoumpoulakis Panagiotis Associate, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Medical and Pharmaceutical RTD Management Aged 33, he holds a diploma and a PhD in Chemistry from University of Patras. He also holds an MBA from the Athens University of Economics and Business He has been a post-doctoral Research fellow in the Institute of Organic and Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the National Hellenic Research Foundation and his research background is focused in pharmaceutical chemistry mainly in Rational Design of novel drugs. He is works with Intermas since 2005 mainly in Research projects and Technology Transfer activities linked to Medicine, Pharmacology and Marine Biology. He masters English and Italian languages.
